Scanner Version 1.1.0 & UI Version 1.1.0

Release Date: March, 2026

This release contains a refactor of the scanner with new features and significant improvements:

Observes-Scanner

  • Architectural refactor for improved speed and data collection
  • HTML report generation for scan results
  • Enhanced logging throughout the application for better debugging and monitoring
  • Updated SAST patterns for improved security scanning in CI/CD pipelines
  • Additional command line options for improved CLI usability (ability to skip some data collection)
  • Data optimisation by removing unused duplicate data
  • Fixed authorisation issues on resource pools with missing permission checks

Observes-UI

  • Resource Filters: Endpoint last used days, pool type (self-hosted vs all), service connection execution history
  • Pipeline Filters: Used/unused builds, historic unauthorized service connections, potential executions limit, pool queue-based permissions
  • SAST: Improved alert display with severity badges, categorized findings, scope indicators, and result counts per engine
  • CSV Export: Added CSV download for pipeline and resource tables with full metadata, protected resources, build alerts, pipeline permissions, and usage statistics
  • UX: Loading overlays, scan overwrite confirmation, progress indicators, loading states and smooth transitions
  • Bug Fix: Fixed pool_merged resource filtering with queue-based pipeline permissions
  • Bug Fix: Improved build data validation and null checks
  • Bug Fix: Enhanced saved search functionality with new filter parameters

Version 1.0.4

Release Date: January, 2026

This release enhances pipeline analysis capabilities and user interaction. You can now:

  • Filter pipeline resources with additional query options
  • Visualise build agent pools with improved layouts and clarity
  • Experience enhanced UI responsiveness and interactivity
  • Contextualise logic containers by scoping them to specific Azure DevOps organisation scans or across multiple organisation scans

Additionally, this release includes multiple UI improvements to streamline navigation and overall user experience.

Version 1.0.3

Release Date: November, 2025

This release introduces user experience enhancements to help efficient pipeline analysis. You can now:

  • Save filtered pipeline and resource searches for future use
  • Download graphs in SVG and PNG formats
  • Access an improved pipeline and resource filters interface

Additionally, this release includes a fix for a complex logic condition bug that could affect pipeline filtering when using negation operations.

Observes-Scanner

Additional resources are now supported, and scan stability has been improved:

  • Artefact feeds and packages are now supported.
  • Pipeline environments are now supported.
  • Stability improved by removing threading.

Observes-UI

Additional resources can now be tracked in the UI, along with general enhancements:

  • Artefact feeds and packages are now visible in the Overview dashboard.
  • Azure DevOps environments are now tracked in the Tracker.
  • Project overview now includes more searchable data for each project.
